In collaboration with Bluelight Canterbury, Bani Adam is taking a group of 20 boys from our community on a trip to Lake Taupo. This adventure filled trip will include return flights to Auckland, a stay at Sky City, a visit to Tamaki Maori Village, luging & white water rafting in Rotorua, mountain biking, jet boating in Taupo and Rainbows End.
This trip is aimed at giving the selected youth of Christchurch a break from the hectic year and showing them parts of the North Island they may not have had the chance to explore. An experience that is sure to help them learn something about themselves and how they fit in as Muslims in New Zealand.
All made possible by the generous folk at Bluelight, CMCT, the Rotary Club and other donations by service providers.
UPDATE:
What a successful trip it was! The boys are still buzzing even after returning home. So many great experiences and people! It was extremely satisfying to bust out of our comfort zones through adventerous activites as well as taking the time to learn about the Maori culture. But most of all, the bond we all formed on this trip is now UNBREAKABLE.
