Our team have personally lost friends, family, students, and teachers in the Christchurch terrorist attack.
But our loved one’s bodies are buried, our injured are healing, and soon our trauma will turn to strength.
The Nawawi Center’s missions remain the same and our resolve stronger than ever.
We will continue to work towards healing the divide through education, events, youth programs, and combating extremist elements within and without in order to reduce the cycle of hatred and increase understanding.
Our team of volunteers are still busy assisting with the ground efforts. There is a lot of work to be done. Muslim organizations of Christchurch are more united than ever in our goals.
Terrorism will always make us stronger. They will never win.
Because we are one.
